Pink lipsticks

Ugh there's that new freckle on my neck, i hate it. You're probably looking at the UFO inside my nostril, but I can only see the freckle

Those earrings i'm wearing above. I think they're a gemstone..I like them cause they go with my eyes and that looks really good. And they're very nonchalant

The word "nonchalant" . Word of the month I tell you. I'm gonna say this so many times my friends are gonna dump me. I kind of wanna add it to my surname, somehow

Starbucks White Mocha lattes - thank you to the girl who recommended this, I like them! (but still miss my toffee nut lattes. Starbucks should make that permanent)

This biker jacket. I like (in order):
a) how it smells
b) how soft it is

Ins and Outs

- Skulls and lots of metal jewlery in general. "The skull was a symbol of melancholy for Shakespeare's contemporaries". Yes

But I still draw the line at those new jewlery brands from trendy designers, popping up from all over the place, that's all claws, chains, studs and pointy bits, and costs $400+ and only wannabe-fashion-editors wear it.

- Diamond jewelery. Antique. I just love when things are old (but look new) and have a story. I'm wearing my white gold and my grandma's yellow gold rings.


- Red nails. Dark reds, for once! I'm wearing the lovely crimson OPI Vodka & Caviar (above), which I've had before and never liked and don't know why because it's perfect. Other favourites are Fishnet Stockings (a new acquisition) and YSL Purple Rose (AMAZING shade. I'll make a post about that one). But I'm wearing bright reds too (Dior Mayan Red. See post below)

- Black skinny jeans. I swear I never thought I'd wear anything but my jeggings ever again. This has been a welcome surprise. I love my jbrand cigarettes, they're..familiar.

- Rayban aviators. I guess I've never stopped wearing this. Like, since 1990. But still worth a mention.

- My vintage mink jacket. Loooove.



- Fuchsia nails. I'm not having any luck with pink lately. I just don't like pink with any other colours I guess. It always looks wrong in Winter. Over bare skin: lovely.

- Leather skirts. I like leather pants so much more and leather skirts are just a hassle right now with how cold it is.

- Long coats. This will last all of 48 hours

- Pearls. I know. Sad face. But one can't decide her OUTs! It's destiny!

- I can't STAND Flowerbomb! I do not know what's going on. I'm using my purse spray of Coco Mademoiselle instead which I am almost as perplexed about. I don't even like Coco Mademoiselle.


Have a good weekend everyone! I'm looking forward to staying in tomorrow morning waiting for my piano stand, for the third day in a row, because my postman assures me he's coming, then won't show up. I have my mom and grandma over for a couple of weeks, and I am certainly going to make a post about grandma's tips and favourites. She's my hero, she's an incredible beauty fanatic, she's been without food but never without lipstick!

In and Out

I could probably do one of these every 8 hours.

 

- Sweet fragrances. Really? yes. I'm enjoying Flowerbomb. Let's not be too drastic, I'm wearing n.19 and Heure Exquise aswell.
- Red and dark lipsticks. Because one should stick to what suits one best. Sometimes
- Purple creme nails: a la YSL Tulipe Noir. Yum, this is such a perfect aubergine
- My UGG Lynnea Clogs. I love these, they are so comfortable and look so cool
- Rock. I am officially back to 2008 and all my leather apparel, skull jewellery and balenciaga bags are out of hiding. I'm gonna celebrate by going to see Alice Cooper!
- Fake Tan. Yess. It just makes me happy.
- The Brazilian Blowout. I did this on the front part of my hair, and I love it; it's how everybody says: wash and go. It's the most liberating thing. However it seems to be washing out pretty quickly, I'll probably need to get it done every two months = expensive
- Dancing. Really enjoying those burlesque classes. Moooore




- *forgive me* The 50s (excluding underwear of course. I'm still lusting after that padded conical bra from What Katie Did. Some people think it's ugly; I think it's the sexiest thing ever)
- Pastel nails
- I hate how windy London is right now. The cold - fine. The wind- extremely annoying
- Posh everything. I am trying hard to steer away from this. I know I'm kind of posh, let's face it, but I'd prefer it not to be the first thing that people notice.
- Tea before bed. I need to stop doing this. I thought I had insomnia. It's the bloody caffeine!

Favourite things this week

French Connection All Hours Long Coat

This long coat comes incredibly handy when the weather gets cool, as it is getting right now in London. Particularly good for when you're going out wearing a dress and tights, because it covers your legs completely.





I'm still wearing my Miu Miu clogs all the time. They are the prettiest shoes I've ever owned. I should probably get some winter ones, but these are so sweet.

I'm quite happy with the clog trend. While I sistematically dislike anything "on-trend", I love to be able to find a great variety of things that I love and could never find before, like leather, leopard and clogs. Clogs have a special place in my heart because they were the first "heeled" shoes my mom allowed me to wear. I had two pairs of them, cream and navy, and I remember thinking how sophisticated I looked in my platforms. They weren't even a proper heel but I was thrilled.

While we're on the subject, red was the first lipstick colour I ever wore. I borrowed it from my favourite aunt, who was quite young at the time and so racy compared to my mom. I was about six, I was always in dress-up within the confines of my home (typically a long blue dress. I wanted to be "Sleeping Beauty"- i still do), and red lipstick was a good addition my extravangance. I remember telling my aunt that when I grew up, I would always wear red lipstick because it was the most beautiful colour lipstick!

It's very va-va-boom; women stop me and ask me what I'm wearing. It is MAC Red and it is wonderful.

I also had not one, but two men in two days, stop me to compliment me on my moschino leopard jacket, proceed to inquire about it's availability and pricing, and then offer to buy it from me! So that one is a real hit with transexuals.

I got these in a market, they were only 5 pounds but I loove them. They're just like half a sphere.

In and Out

- 60s everything. I guess this is a constant for me
- the colour LILAC!
- Furry jackets
- Eating sushi and going to tea shops
- Pilates. I had no idea using the apparatus made this much of a difference
- Leather pants. Pleather makes you so sweaty and uncomfortable, it has to be real leather
- Ballet flats. The bendy ones from prettyballerinas...it's all i wear





- Red lipstick (Disclaimer: I might change my mind on this tomorrow)
- Clubbing. Such a waste of time, all the wrong people crowded in there. No wonder they have to invite us to dinner to get us in there. It's still not worth it
- Knee-high boots
- Long nails
